Was a fun quirky, but a good story that takes place in a hidden world in our world。 Very fun, all the voice actors did great and all the song clips for transitions fit what was read or to come in a cryptic way lol。 A great book and i look forward to another story by Felicia day。

I read about a third of this, and was done。 I kept going on a bit long than I normally would have because I did enjoy trying to guess who was behind each voice。 I thought the story could have been fun, but the more it progressed, the less I liked it。 Audiobook - Whoever thought Kate should be voiced that way should be fired。 It was terrible! If the narrator decided to voice her that way, she's not a good narrator。 The main narration was done by Neil Gaiman, who I don't really like as a narrator。 I read about a third of this, and was done。 I kept going on a bit long than I normally would have because I did enjoy trying to guess who was behind each voice。 I thought the story could have been fun, but the more it progressed, the less I liked it。 Audiobook - Whoever thought Kate should be voiced that way should be fired。 It was terrible! "Third Eye" by Felicia Day is not good, I'm sorry to say。 The story was mediocre at best, the characters lacked depth, and Frank's storyline was both completely unnecessary and extremely uninteresting。 It proved to be a struggle to finish, saved only by the remarkable voice acting from a star-studded cast that lent a unique old-timey radio production vibe to the experience。 Had it been marketed as such, the cheesy and trite writing might have been more forgivable。 Overall, I find it challenging "Third Eye" by Felicia Day is not good, I'm sorry to say。 The story was mediocre at best, the characters lacked depth, and Frank's storyline was both completely unnecessary and extremely uninteresting。 It proved to be a struggle to finish, saved only by the remarkable voice acting from a star-studded cast that lent a unique old-timey radio production vibe to the experience。 Had it been marketed as such, the cheesy and trite writing might have been more forgivable。 Overall, I find it challenging to recommend this book to anyone, as its only redeeming quality was overshadowed by its lackluster writing and uninteresting story。 。。。more

Loads of fun!

This was a fantastic listen。 Highly recommend to anyone who likes other things that I Like。 Haha!

I’ve struggled to get through this book。 The characters were very annoying。 I didn’t feel connected with any of the characters, including the main characters。 I understand that this book would be classified as a comedy or spoof, but the humor was very low-quality。 Most of this was filler, and after missing multiple chapters, the reader would still be able to follow the plot。

Best audiobook of the year so far! Anyone who knows me will know that I gush over anything sarcastic or satirical but combine that with a great story and such awesomely familiar voices and my literary heart is stolen。

Matthew B

Highly recommend the audiobook, very enjoyable and a huge fan of the voice casting

Maria C

A quick fun audio with a full cast

Leann N Hakala

Very fun! An enjoyable story and great cast。

EPIC! Hollywood turning it down was a terrible call on their part。 The fact that it was intended for a screen comes through beautifully in the narrative。 I hope to see all of these people perform this book at some point in the future。

This was great!

This audiobook was extremely well done, and I had a fantastic time experiencing it! The story was captivating, although I can see some listeners not aware of Felicia Day's other work might not like how the main character's extreme case of self-defeat could turn them off (such as the character Codex in her show The Guild), but it really is a good story, especially around the Witching 'Ber Months。 All in all I enjoyed it, and it was a great story to have playing while completing mindless work! I wish I hadn't wasted a credit on this。 I imagine Sibyl is supposed to be comic relief, but she annoyed the crap out of me with her self-obsession。 I liked some of the performances。 I wish I hadn't wasted a credit on this。 I imagine Sibyl is supposed to be comic relief, but she annoyed the crap out of me with her self-obsession。 I liked some of the performances。 。。。more

Funny。

Valerie

Fun fantasy story with a star-studded cast that I mostly enjoyed。 A few of the character voices were deliberately over-the-top and a bit annoying to listen to for long periods of time, particularly through ear buds。

Sheila Jean

It was fun。 Silly and very Felicia Day。

This was an awesome book。 I loved listening to it and hearing all the famous voices and recognizing them and using them to picture the characters。 Overall it was an interesting story and had a lot of awesome plots。 I do wish the ending didn’t just all clean up and get figured out in what seemed like 10 minutes and it was a longer battle, or you got more of the aftermath。 But I would love to read more from Felicia Day。

Laurel Pettigrew was supposed to be the Chosen One, but when she went face to face with the dark lord Tybus。。。 well, turns out, she wasn't "it"。 Instead of being a legend, she's now infamous as The Failure。 When a normie kid shows up at her door knowing a suspicious amount of detail of their lives, Laurel and her roommates attempt to uncover how she knows so much。 She turns out to be much, much more than she appears, and the gang finds themselves ready for battle again。Written by the fabulously Laurel Pettigrew was supposed to be the Chosen One, but when she went face to face with the dark lord Tybus。。。 well, turns out, she wasn't "it"。 Instead of being a legend, she's now infamous as The Failure。 When a normie kid shows up at her door knowing a suspicious amount of detail of their lives, Laurel and her roommates attempt to uncover how she knows so much。 She turns out to be much, much more than she appears, and the gang finds themselves ready for battle again。Written by the fabulously funny Felicia Day, THIRD EYE is an absolute epic mash-up of famous geek [voice] actors。 Felicia Day, Sean Astin, Wil Wheaton, Neil Gaimon, Janet Varney, and even a cameo by Weird Al-- honestly, everyone is GREAT! The sound editing and voice acting is 10/10。 Fantasy story-telling at its finest, Felicia Day knocks it out of the park just as you'd expect。An example of brilliance: "It was beautiful, but disgusting, and definitely a health hazard。" 。。。more

Absolutely delightful take on the ‘chosen one’ fantasy trope—couldn’t stop listening to it and finished in a day。 Fell in love with the characters instantly—they’re comedic, acted well by some of my favourite people, and their story arcs were fantastic。 The ‘failure’ character was so relatable and it was even somewhat healing to realize the messaging for her story and the ending。 Can’t recommend this enough。

I was excited about the star-studded audio book, but really couldn't have been more disappointed。 I read a lot of YA, but this is dumbed down the point of being un-listenable。 Maybe good for very young teenagers? This is probably actually a 4。5 but I'm rounding up because I had so much fun reading it, and I feel like having fun was it's whole damn purpose。 So extra points for executing the landing without a hitch。This is basically a book by a Gen X hard core Geek TO all the Gen X hard core, life long geeks, in every way from the writing to the casting。 We just had a great time reading it which was actually made better after I listened to the audible interview with Felicia Day about the making of it。I fir This is probably actually a 4。5 but I'm rounding up because I had so much fun reading it, and I feel like having fun was it's whole damn purpose。 So extra points for executing the landing without a hitch。This is basically a book by a Gen X hard core Geek TO all the Gen X hard core, life long geeks, in every way from the writing to the casting。 We just had a great time reading it which was actually made better after I listened to the audible interview with Felicia Day about the making of it。I first came across Felicia years ago when I randomly bought a graphic novel of made from the Guild show and then promptly binged the show。 We loved Geek and Sundry (especially Wil's board game stuff)。 And while this book was it's very own thing it just felt。。。 comfortable and cozy。 And I love it for that。 。。。more

So much fun in the end, and there were some great laugh-out-loud moments。 Full cast was totally the way to go, and as much as I would have liked this as a television show (as Day tried to get it made as), this was maybe better, honestly。

Kawai Kaneali'i

I picked this up after seeing the amazing lineup of narrators and it did not let me down。 What a fun production! Admittedly a bit silly at times, but overall a wildly enjoyable ride。

Laura de Leon

4。5 stars because the production is so much fun, with a great cast。The story turns a lot of fantasy tropes upside down, and the characters are entertaining。

Brilliant debut novel from everyone's favourite 'geek next door'。 The characters were great, and so many twists and turns that even Sybil would loose her head!!! Fell in love with Frank, Sybil and even Martial Robigus。 Sean Astin is just fantastic (he should be in more audiobooks), the thing that topped this off was Neil Gaiman narrating a book he hadn't written 🤣 like when your dad tries to use 'cool language' to fit in with the youth of today。 We love you Neil!!!!
